Strategic partnership for coffee and tea market research

14.05.2026

On 12 May 2026, the Coffee and Tea Market Research Institute and The Ariadna Nationwide Research Panel (www.panelariadna.pl) entered into a cooperation agreement, the aim of which is to develop high-quality coffee and tea market research and provide market participants with reliable and useful data on consumer attitudes and behaviour.

This partnership combines the Coffee and Tea Market Research Institute’s analytical expertise and industry knowledge with the advanced research infrastructure of The Ariadna Nationwide Research Panel, one of the largest and most reliable research panels in Poland.

A distinguishing feature of the Ariadna panel is its incentive model, which involves delivering physical rewards directly to respondents’ home addresses. This solution effectively eliminates the problem of ‘AI bots’ and ‘professional respondents’, an issue that is becoming increasingly prevalent in the global online research market. In practice, this means that all data gathered via the panel comes from real people, ensuring its high quality and reliability.

The Ariadna Nationwide Research Panel has been setting CAWI (Computer-Assisted Web Interviewing) standards research for years. As a pioneer of this method in Poland, the panel has collaborated with numerous research centres both in Poland and abroad, combining methodological rigour with practical experience. The team behind the panel comprises experts with over 30 years’ experience in opinion and market research, as well as a strong academic background in social and economic sciences. Given its founders, Prof. Dominika Maison and Dr Tomasz Baran, it is safe to say that the Ariadna panel has an academic pedigree. It is the only panel in Poland with an academic team specialising in social and economic research combined with the practical experience of its owners.

The quality of the research is confirmed by independent audits organised by the Organisation of Opinion and Market Research Companies, as well as the Certificate of Quality Control of Interviewers’ Work Program (PKJPA) in CAWI research. This certification is a key quality criterion recommended by the Public Procurement Office for projects funded by public bodies.

The Ariadna panel operates in accordance with the highest ethical standards set out in the ICC/ESOMAR Code. This means complete independence from marketing and advertising activities – an absence of audience targeting services for advertising networks, targeting, content profiling and advertising purposes. The panel is not involved in selling advertising space or affiliated with media houses, which guarantees full transparency and research neutrality.

This independence is particularly important in the context of growing ESG-related requirements and scientific publication standards. The absence of capital ties and commercial interests in non-research areas eliminates the risk of conflicts of interest and strengthens the credibility of research findings. Of particular importance here is the absence of links to so-called ‘sin stocks’, such as gambling or other morally controversial industries.

This agreement presents a significant step towards the further development of the coffee and tea market research in Poland, offering business partners and the academic community free access to high-quality data.
