On 15 June 2026, another meeting of the Board of the Coffee and Tea Market Research Institute (C&TMRI) was held. The Board meeting was attended by Prof. Grzegorz Maciejewski, post PhD, and Prof. Łukasz Wróblewski, post PhD, both representing the Department of Market and Consumption at the University of Economics. Chaired by the President of C&TMRI, Sylwia Mokrysz, PhD (MOKATE SA), the meeting coincided with the release of the fifth issue of the Coffee and Tea Marketing Journal (C&TMJ –https://ctmri.eu/coffee-tea-marketing-journal/).
Published by C&TMRI since 2024, the journal is already indexed in five academic databases and continues to attract growing interest from both the academic community and business practitioners.

In this issue, readers will find articles on, among other topics, consumers’ coffee consumption habits and preferences, differences in coffee consumption between young and silver singles, and the cultural frameworks underpinning marketing strategies in the coffee and tea market. This issue also introduces a new section entitled “Young Voices in Coffee and Tea Research”, created to promote the work of early-career researchers investigating contemporary issues related to the coffee and tea market.
During the final part of the meeting, the Board members discussed the journal’s further development strategy and a new research project focusing on phygital tea consumers. The planned study will seek to answer the following questions: What factors shape tea consumers’ behaviour at the intersection of physical and digital channels, and how do these factors influence the purchasing process, consumer experiences, and the acceptance of innovation?
I encourage everyone to read the latest issue of Coffee and Tea Marketing Journal and to submit their scientific papers for publication. The journal is published twice a year, in June and December.
