The Coffee & Tea Market Research Institute

The Coffee and Tea Market Research Institute was established on 10 October 2022 by the decision of the Regional Court in Bielsko-Biala and entered into the National Court Register: the Register of Associations, Other Social and Professional Organisations, Foundations and Public Healthcare Institutions, under KRS number: 0000996400.

The originators of the Institute and the main driving force behind its creation are people of science and business: Sylwia Mokrysz, PhD (The Mokate Group), Prof. Grzegorz Maciejewski, PhD (University of Economics in Katowice), and Prof. Łukasz Wróblewski, PhD (WSB University in Dąbrowa Górnicza).

The activity of the Institute is international. The seat of the Institute is located in Ustroń, Poland. Whereas the seat of the scientific journal published by the Institute, in London, United Kingdom. The Institute also conducts foreign activities in accordance with the applicable provisions of law and of the Institute’s articles of association. The main international activity of the Institute is running the London-based scientific magazine “Coffee and Tea Marketing Journal”.

The Institute can be a member of national and international organisations with a similar profile of activity.

The Institute is a non-profit organisation, has legal personality and operates on the basis of the provisions of the Associations Law Act of 7 April 1989 (Journal of Laws of 2020, item 2261, as amended) and provisions of its articles of association.

The objectives of the Coffee and Tea Market Research Institute are:

  • conducting research based on scientific methods in the area of market operator behaviour in the food and beverage market, including the coffee and tea market;
  • promotion of knowledge about market operator behaviour in the food and drink market, including in the coffee and tea market;
  • integration of scientific, research and business environments related to the food and beverage market, especially the coffee and tea market;
  • cooperation with state and local government bodies as well as national, foreign and international academic centres, market institutions, enterprises and social and professional organisations in the field of joint scientific and research, research and development, implementation and educational projects.

The Coffee and Tea Market Research Institute accomplishes its objectives through:

  • conducting scientific research in the field of market operator behaviour in the food and beverage market, including the coffee and tea market;
  • preparing opinions and expert analyses in the field of research and development works conducted by the Institute;
  • promoting knowledge in the field of research and development works conducted by the Institute through publications and other forms of dissemination of information;
  • running the international scientific magazine “Coffee and Tea Marketing Journal”, which is a platform for the exchange of thoughts, knowledge, information and experience in the field of management, marketing and behavioural economics among scientists, researchers, experts and business practitioners;
  • providing training to improve the qualifications of the Institute’s members;
  • providing training for non-Institute units and organisations;
  • organising and conducting conferences, meetings, courses, symposia, lectures, seminars, shows, exhibitions;
  • issuing certificates to confirm knowledge acquisition in the field of market operator behaviour in the food and drink market, including the coffee and tea market;
  • creating and using joint databases for the needs of expert analyses and opinions;
  • cooperating with Polish and foreign organisations of the same or similar nature;
  • cooperating with state and local government authorities, the economic sector, mass media and public figures;
  • establishing other organisational and legal units to achieve the objectives of the Institute.
