16.06.2025

On June 11th, for the first time, Coffee and Tea Market Researcher Certificates were awarded. The recipients were master’s students from the University of Economics in Katowice: Dawid Kachnikiewicz, Jakub Matyja, Julia Mucha, Adam Bąk, Aleksandra Paciorek, and Oliwia Pawłowska.

The students received the distinction for their work on a research project and report titled “Generation Z Consumers’ Preferences Regarding Coffee Consumption”, carried out as part of the course Quantitative and Qualitative Research in Management.

The aim of the study was to analyze the preferences and behaviors of Generation Z consumers related to the consumption of coffee and coffee-based beverages, taking into account flavor preferences and the role coffee plays in this consumer group. Coffee products were categorized into sector groups, including natural, ground, instant, and coffee intended for use in coffee machines. For each category, the most relevant product types were identified. The study also covered brand and product awareness of MOKATE among Generation Z respondents.

On behalf of the Coffee and Tea Market Research Institute, the certificates were presented to the awarded students by Professor Grzegorz Maciejewski, Ph.D.
